Themes and Skins

Finally got my sync cable after about 5 days! I was able to sync with activesync and download a theme! I am a newbie so that was an accomplishment. I read managing your today screen, but still don't quite get the skin part. My new theme is fine, but, when I tap start I still get the microsoft tab. Am I supposed to install something else to make the tab match the theme? Now the important part: I would like to find a program like wisbar or dashboard that would show my power, date, time, connections and close my programs. I have seen that the most popular one does not support x30, the name escapes me, but I've seen how some of you guys and gals have all the info on your screen with really cool graphics, gauges, and such. Anyone able to walk me through this stuff? (slowly)

Thanks,
Jim

Snoopsoft Dashboard does work with my X30 but you have to find a landscape skin set to use it in landscape, it is buggy though and sometimes doesn't load properly on startup. I'm not sure if anyone's reported this to the developer yet but I will if no one else has.

What you're looking for is SPB's Pocket Plus 2.0. It has all the bells and whistles you're looking for. I've been using it the last couple of days and so far no problems. There is a trial version available so check it out. You need to use an extended theme for landscape support and like Dashboard the transition between portrait and landscape takes at least a second or so. I'd post screenshots but you can't do that when you're viewing the mobile version of this site.

HTH

I'm on my desktop. I am not in a panic, but I would like to get the best use from my new x30. I will try the spb and see what happens.

Thanks

Thanks! "Don't Panic". As I said I'm a newbie. I hope my username is obvious. Used it on my license plate. Had since U.S. Marine Corps in 73. Now as a Chi-town Cop!

Thanks Again!

I swear, the dope wasn't mine. My dog took it from my neighbor and put it in locked locker in my room. My dog is evil like that :)
