Trouble Viewing Some Web Pages

Hey all - new Axim X30 mid owner here.

I like this unit so far. Only had it about 6 hours, though.

Anyways, I noticed that some pages won't load on pocket explorer, even on the same website. What's up with that?

This is especially true when logged onto a website like this one, with 'forums'.

Anyone?

I do believe pocket pc web browsers are not able to view all kind of webpages. I think it's due to the OS, not because of the hardware. I'm still trying to figure out with mine right now, but I can compromise 'can' and 'can not' of the pocket pcs.
Some people may not satisfy with their pocket pc because they don't work as their desktop. Well, you didn't see mr. bean's mini oldschool cooper beating out his maclaren, right? :)

okay. maybe Hardware makes the OS to limit the ability. or Software makes the hardware to limit the ability. I just can't make up my mind after 5 espresso shots on a venti -_-

very well. i'm definitely finding that some web pages do not want to load on pocket explorer. overall, it is a fine thing to be able to surf the web and post from this miniscule device. i'm posting this from the bathroom.

try this.

view -> layout -> desktop

you might have to scroll a little, but it worked great for me.

Everytime I try to load that link, it loads for a second, just enough for me to see the macromedia web backdrop, and then Explorer just disappears in a flash, taking me back to the MS Windows blue screen. I've tried this a dozen times, and each time is the same result.

???

This is frustrating.

Have no idea why that would be happening. I just tried the link and it works fine??????

I know. It's bizarre. I have no idea why it's doing it, but I've tried clicking on that link many, many times now, and it does it each time - just drops everything off the screen.

I'm going to wait for my synch cable to arrive, and then load the flash player to my X30 from my laptop. Hopefully that will work.

Are you trying to load this onto your X30? If so, it's not a PPC program (as I found out last night ) You have to d/l to your PC to install. The link is working fine for me this am.

I was originally Vidge. It says it is a Pocket PC app: "Macromedia Flash Player 6.0 for Pocket PC 2003"

I must be missing something.
