Solution for failure to rejoin wifi network after power off

I think others were having this problem too. After turning the X30 off sometimes it would be difficult to rejoin a wireless network.

In my case the Dell signal monitor would show excellent signal strength and the name of the router but an IP would never be obtained until I turned on and off wireless comms.

What fixed it for me was to not use DHCP but to assign a static IP. As an added bonus web pages seem to load faster.

Cheers!
