Travel Synch cable?
As I explained on the newbie board, I, who have never owned a PDA, asked my employer to supply me one for the year I will be abroad. Miraculously, he agreed! Nevertheless I'm a little overwhelmed at the thought of owning and using the x30!

We ordered the USB Travel Synch Cable with the unit. Can someone fill me in on the uses of this cable? Thank you!

The cable that is supplied with the Axim only syncs the information from your X30 to your computer.

Thanks for your response, but I don't understand. The axim 30 comes with a USB cradle. I also ordered an additional accesory--the "travel synch cable". My question, what is the function of the latter?

Well both the cradle and the cable sync your Axim to your computer, except the cradle I think also charges it, while you have to have an adapter for the cable to charge your X30. But they offer the cable as an option, because for travelers it's easier to carry a cable rather than lugging around a heavy cradle.

They are essentially same thing.

Cable u just connect to to bottom and you can connect to pc, power, or both.

Cradle is conencted to pc/power (i think) but it is just basically a nice dock that you can put your ppc into
