The only real problems I had with my X3-mid is:
-having to ask for the sycn cable (they don't ship it in the same box ...or maybe never unless you ask)
-the Sandisk 256MB SD card I bought from them was defective
Otherwise the x30 is a killer machine, especially for a $250 price point!

Hmm, I wonder why some people got their sync cable with their X30 and some didn't? Mine came with the cable. It's strange that some shipped with the handheld and some came seperate. I decided later on to get the cradle and I'm glad I did! It is really nice!

X30
Hey, I'm enjoying my X30 (I also have a X5). I haven't had any of the serious problems others have experienced.

I have the X30high and would recomment it to anyone. This is my first PPC so I admittedly don't have first hand knowledge of other devices but I did shop hard for the best bargain and have only been impressed from day one.

Thanks guys/girls. I feel better now. I'm not going to be purchasing an x30 THIS minute because july is just around the corner and new pdas are going to be released.
Thanks again,

Well, the 10% off deal ends this wednesday, so if you do wait, better hope for a better deal. 40 dollars savings (on the advance version) is a lot of $$$

Yeah, I hook up my e750 with the expansion box. I hook up a usb harddisc via a USB hub and attach a small monitor (6") on the VGA output. I walk around with a Scots vest on and look at my pretty 3.8" screen when I have taken a photo with my Dimage A1 digicam and transport it to my harddisk via my usb thumb mouse:)
Besides that I have a police scanner with me and a frs radio. All set, GO!
Peace,
Henk.

this x30 mid is my very first pda, and aside from the sync cable not being shipped with it, I could not be happier.
I did have to hard reset it once, but I am sure that was because I did not know what I was doing with pocket tweak.
other than that, it's been a cake walk and I love it.

Yeah, I was considering it. Waiting for the wifi version to see how much that costs. Basically, the a730(wifi), loox700, and the high end hp line, are pretty much exactly what i want in a pda except for the price. I am willing to spend no more than $400! I know thats stretching it but lets see what happens. If there are no "good" models released, then i will definitly go with dell.

Even in the case of $400 I would consider the Asus 716 DELL forget to but back the CF-slot as you might know!:)
Click . here to start being happy again;)
Peace,
Henk

No, overclocking PPCs is really stupid IMO.

Great.. I just bought 6 of them and now I'm reading that they suck! LOL. I'm really not worried about it, I believe that if dell follows 6 Sigma practices then the odds are that within your first year you will eventually end up with a "Golden" Axim.
