Compress Divx or Xvid?

Does anyone know of any program i can use to compress Divx or xvid video files.

I have a movie but i would like to compress it more then what it is so i can watch in my PPC. can anyone suggest a program. or something that can help me.

The files are lik 600 mb and i would like to make it 400 mb and lower the resolution on it.

^^^No joke, I found everything I needed in order to do all the conversion there...and it was all freeware.

here is a nice guide for video compression. It's written based on compressing DVD to watch in a computer. But you can use the same principle on compress the movie to fit a in PPC.

Alternatively,you can use some software sets do the one step conversion for you .

Im gonna recommend Windows Media Encoder ;) Its not Divx or Xvid, but it has a Pocket PC option while encoding that automatically adjusts the resolution, and I was able to get a 2 hour and 5 minute movie down to 230 megs at 320x240 resolution with cd-quality audio.

Windows Media Encoder is free, search google for it.

Pocket Divx Encoder..is the best..i used...Dr.Divx is good too
but PDE is easy to use..no knowledge needed...plus u can easily set the size u want the output...i usually make theme 90 megs...and still medium well quality

What Player works best with the X30 624mhz. in the toshiba i have i use Pocket TV. i would like to know of a Player the can play everything or really close to it. dont really care about the price. i dont want to have 3 diff player at the same time. if u know what i mean. other thing where do u suggest i install things into. should i install thing on the SD or the main memory. there are some programs u can only install in the memory othey wont run right. but what are ur exp and what dou suggest?

BetaPlayer works the best, it is light years ahead of any other player and it is getting updates frequently.
