No Partnership in Activesync

Please Help! I recently purchased my X30 and was able to connect/sync using my laptop. When I went to connect to my PC, it would recognize the device, but shows that there are no partnerships created (I've made sure that I selected connect using two computer).

I reinstalled activesync, however it never requested that a partnership be created. It recongizes the device, but does not show a partnership and therefore does not sync.

Finally, I restored my computer to it's orginally settings. I reinsalled all of the exsisting programs including activesync and the ppc sync'd fine.

Two days later, the same problem has occured. No partnership/no sync. It still recognizes the hardware.

Spoke w/ a Dell rep for two hours this morning and no success. I've tried everything I can think of..... (removing all other USB devices, turned off firewall, changed USB ports, etc)

Just to make sure ppc was ok. I installed activesync on a seperate laptop and was able to sync.

Any ideas on what could be causing issues on the PC (Compaq Presario, Windows XP Home)?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
