Active Sync: Sync Limit Exceeded...

Everytime I try to sync my Axim a messege comes up in reference to Avantgo: "Sync limit exceeded, try again later".

I went and deleted a couple of "channels" on Avantgo and still I keep getting that messege. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it?

It just started happening tonight... it's never happened before and I haven't added any extra "channels" since I originally set up my Avantgo profile, so what could it be?

I had that happen once when I fist set it up and after 24 hours it stopped and I haven't had it again. Maybe you have to wait 24 hours?

What is the current limit of channel content?
Customers of My AvantGo are allotted 2MB per account by default with a sync limit of 20MB per day.

I had that problem a lot.. What's happening is that everytime you sync, it goes to AvantGo and syncs content, lots of which probably hasn't changed... when in truth, you really only need to sync once a day or less...

What I finally ended up doing was unchecking the AvantGo checkbox in ActiveSync and just synching it manually... on the AvantGo homepage, Tools Sync Files or under Settings/Connections slecting AvantGo Connect.

It sounds strange to have to manually sync something like this, but if you leave a constant connection (which I do frequently) in ActiveSync, you'll find yourself exceeding content limit a lot, and you'll be stuck with a lot of old information... Plus... when I hit a hotspot, I usually go ahead and manually sync AvantGo to get the news anyways.

yes, my Axim always syncs with my pc snd has an always on connection between them. If I so much as change a note ActiveSync automatically syncs everything. It's annoying.

It not a question of how much space I have left-- it's not an issue. I'm wll under the allotted space.

I think it's becau of all the constant syncing ActiveSync does.

Thanks for the tips! I'll uncheck the Avantgo box.

But what I would like to know is how can I sync Avantgo when I'm away from my pc?

If you have WiFi, then whenever you are ar a hotspot, you can go to Settings on the ppc start menu, connections, then select AvantGo Sync.

If not, you'll only be able to run that sync while you're connected to your Pc.
