Battery Pack pro or Pocket Plus?
Getting my replacement X30 High tomorrrow and I was wondering which utility works best with SE. I've used both successfully with 2003 but prefer Battery Pack. I have read problems with both using SE though.

They both have some issues. I think the consensus is that SPB works better with SE. You can go with SPB, or wait until they get the SE bugs worked out of BPP. The new BP Pro is really slick . . .

BPPro is a disaster at the moment on SE.
Spb is not much better but works.
BPP is for me a better program when it works. I have no doubts that OmegaOne will get rid of the bugs soon then BPPro will get installed immediately on my X30 High.

I had some problems with Pocket Plus 2.0 with SE, but it looks like 2.1 works pretty well with SE.

I just install SPB Pocket Plus 2.1 and will be testing it out. Had run 2.0 for the last few days. I'm glad SPB has decided to tweak for wm2003se. Omega One is truly the worst software company around. They have been helpful in the past, but in the end it was, "If it doesn't work on your Axim, sorry." Journal Bar updates broke at the end of June and no updated info regarding this on their website. BPP 1.0 supported wm2003se but that and 1.1 are so unstable on the x30. It works flawlessly on the x3i running wm2003.
I'm still waiting for BPP to be revamped. I do miss the extras beyond SPB's product.

What were the problems with SPB PP2 2.0? I used it for about 4 days and it worked perfectly.
I just tried to install version 2.1 and it only lets you install it into main memory? Is that what people are doing? I like to install my programs into my built-in storage since that's what it's for but 2.1 wont let me.

Rev - some apps, especially today plug-in apps, must be installed in main memory to function properly. Battery Pack is the same way. So no, you can't install it into BIS.

Had the X in upper right mapped to Minimize, hold for Menu, and Gesture to Close. At one point, putting the stylus there did nothing. Had to soft reset to get it back. Had some other peculiar stuff, but can't remember.
Also BPP 1.1 lost this X (OK), could not display Program Bar and Journal Bar on Today screen, and then normally needed 2 or 3 resets to redisplay. Works on x3i, uninstalled on x30.

I have been using Battery Monitor 2.0 and it works great with WM2003SE. Wisbar Pelmar for the X close feature and customizing the taskbars.
