Is built-in storage permanent or eraseable?

My new Dell Axim X30 Mid came yesterday and I was too busy doing stuff with it that I never even came here.

I see the 30MB built-in storage card in File Explorer, etc. I have an old Siemens SX56 that had a Permanent Save feature. Is the Built-In Storage permanent, or can it be cleared? I know that it will not be cleared if the device loses power, but will I be able to erase it?

Just use the active sync program that came with your X30. then when a program asks to install its self to default directory, you say no then make it go into built in memory instead of main memory.
If the program you wish to install doesn't have an automatic setup then you drag and drop the program, song, movie, or other file into the Built in storage folder in the X30 my documents sync folder on your desk top which when you install should automatically appear.
then the next time you sync what ever you dragged and dropped into that folder will be on your Axim and will be in the built in storage folder. then install or play from there.
