External HDD

I undrestand that there is no CF slot on X30 and unlike X5 users X30 owners cant have external usb hard drives. But is there a BT CF middle man, Bluetooth USB host, or a BT hard drive?

There is a BT harddrive, but toshiba only released it in japan, and then stopped production, as more PDA's and devices come out with BT maybe they will restart production...

it was called the HopBit

There's another set of posts floating around ting about connecting PPCs to cell phones. Turns out that while most cell phones support serial communivations, a couple of major brands do not. Like my Samsung. The result is the cables cost twice a much. The reason? They have to include a circuit to allow two USB client devices to connect... so the solution may be as simple as modding one of those cables...

There's definitely a pcmcia.dll in the windows folder on my X30/High. I want a CF to SD adapter. 5 gigs for under $200usd would be great!

Hold on a minute...

Considering BT is much slower than WiFi, a hard drive would be slow. You probably can forget using it for watching video or even listening to mp3's. WiFi may not be much better. Access times would be too long.
What we probably would be the best solution is a SD HD and even then, as with the CF HD it may still not be fast enough.

What about one of these:

http://www.totalpda.co.uk/Haicom-HI-...h-Slipper.aspx

Would it work with a CF-USB host adapter?
