newbie problem

hi does anyone know how to connect the x30 to a router for internet. i have da x30 with da 624 processor w/wifi. i looked for my belkins router and it does not show up on the search for a wireless LAN. can any1 please help me.

Sure. Take a look at da Resources, Links page and there is a link to IkeHiker's Wifi Guide. Have a look in there for starters.

Then tell us how far you get. Do you get an IP? Do you have encryption enabled? What did you try?

actually i followed wat da owner guide instruction. im doin wat u suggested on ikehiker will reply how far i got. thanks howard2k

hi im still havin problems with da connection part. when i 1st got da axim i sync it with da usb cradle, then i sync it thru da bluetooth which works fyn in syncing. i foolowed thru ikehiker by taken down the info on my internet protocol and chekin if my router encription is diabled. then i tried da wifi instruction connection and no connection, also tried syncing wifi but was not able to connect. i have a belkin wireless 802.11b and a linksys usb 54g dat connects to da internet but my axim is not able too. is there something im doing wrong?

as i went thru da process again for wireless connection i notice in da area it said to do wm03-3 and do wm03-4. in that area i dnt have da option for "select what your network card connects to" so i went to da network card option and did it dat way but still no connection

i like to say thanks to howard2k for trying to help me out, ive talk to dell support. they said most likely theirs something wrong with the axims wireless. so their sending me a replacement within a couple of days. so thanks again.
