Start menu text color

I installed a theme that in the preview on my desktop computer had black text on the start menu, but on the Axim has white text, making the start menu unreadable. Any way to correct this?

There is a registry hack..

HKeyLocalMachine\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Color

Look for key "39". Change (or create) it as

00 00 00 00 = black
FF 00 00 00 = red
00 FF 00 00 = green
FF FF 00 00 = yellow
00 00 FF 00 = blue
FF 00 FF 00 = purple
FF FF FF 00 = White

Sweet! Thanks.

I wonder when MS will fix this problem?

Look for WM2003(SE) or PPC 2003 themes. Most of the PPC2002 themes suffer from this problem. Themes created with the newest theme generators don't. Web McDeb at www.mcdeb.com has even started creating WM2003SE specific themes.

Thanks for the tip. I just downloaded PHM Registry Editor. I got to the color section, but I don't see 39. I see 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 25, 26, 4, 42, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, Restriction, SH Color. How do I create one? I go to edit > create new key, but after I do that it just makes a folder instead of a key...:crooked:

Nevermind I got it. I had to go to "New Binary Value".

You could also download TK Creator, I think it
allows you to change the colors of exsisting themes
right on your pda.
