Okay, Now I Am Angry

WELL, WELL, just got a message from DELL CUSTOMER SERVICE, I should expect my system to be held up until 10-11-04....WHAT THE *#&R*&^ IS THIS???

I understand your frustration. I haven't heard about shipping delays specifically for the X30. But rest assured that this is not a new trick for Dell. I experienced it first hand with last year with the WM2003 updated X5 units. It's one of the joys of dealing with Dell.

Try posting on Dell's "Order Status" forum. It could be there is one item in your order holding the rest of it up. Perhaps they can ship the rest of the order of the axim itself isnt the reason.

I mention that forum because I have seen the cs rep there before do that for someone whose order was held up because of a digital camera or some such.

the reason why getting 312 over 624...
is not the price (only 50 less with cradle)
not for longer battery

is the shipping date
I am using it, and feeling good with it, though with some minor flaws
no big deal

I feel your pain....after over a week in production mine finally was assembled,and sent to UPS for delivery and guess what they messed up and now mine won't arrive till thursday or friday, and since my original order I have ordered lots of extras , Battery,screen protectors, keyboard, Rhino case,and every one has now arrived, but no Axim as of yet, its very annoying,,,,sigh!!!!! going to be another long week.....

this is OT, but i just noticed that the contributors have a larger personal info area than the non-contributors...

ok, back on topic. Call Dell, see if they can help you.

Well I spoke with a CS person (actual person) who told me they will expedite the order....does that mean they will be more concerned about the order being late? I am under the impression that something silly is going on down Dell way.

If a Dell rep told you that it would be expedited, then your order will be placed at the front of the line (with the other expedited items) of all items processed that day. It is usually a $2.00 fee but free if you gripe. As an Dell x-employee I can tell you that it should shave 1 day off processing time and if it is ready, it'll ship that day.

Thanks for the advice. I am still wondering if the "extended battery" is the real problem, as has been theorized on other threads. I am going to wait one more day to see if there was a glitch in the system.

a cowroker of mine order his X30 high a little over a week ago and it arrived today. Sometimes you gotta stay on top of them cause something will hold it up and they never notify you. You don't realize until you investigate yourself. Good luck, hope your Ax arrives soon.
