"Internet" vs. "Work Network" ?

I have run through this drill several times now: I do a hard reset. Set up my wirless settings to access "Work Network", confirm that when I connect on the "Connectivity" icon at the top of the Today screen that my wireless card is connected to "Work Network" and everything works fine. Then I perform a restore from an ActiveSync backup to reload all of my programs and settings. Now, when I check the "Connectivity" icon at the top of the Today screen, my wireless card is connected to "The Internet".

I go back through all of my settings and it should be "Work Network". What controls this setting? How can I force it back to "Work Network"?

These settings should be stored in the backup, so it sounds to me like you are restoring from a backup that was created before they were set to "Work." Sometimes to get these settings to stick, you have to change the setting and 'ok' your way back to the Today screen. If you change it, leave the specific page, and then immediately go back it, it often will get reset to "The Internet."

I've run into this in the past. Sprite backup preserves these settings, the ActiveSync backup didn't always preserve tis setting.

Yeah, I know that the settings are stored in the backup and I know I could just start all over yet once again from scratch...but there must be some way to force it back to "Work Network". I tried switching back and forth beteen having Odyssey Client active and Dell WLAN but that doesn't do anything. (That may have been how I got into this situation in the first place; I had experiented with Odyssey Client, gone back to Dell WLAN, and that's when I did the backup.)

I'll keep trying and try the "change the setting and 'ok' your way back to the Today screen" process again but am pretty sure I've done it several times already. Thanks for the suggestions.
