X30 -- Groggy when woke up!

I'm getting to know my X30High, and I'm finding that it takes a long time to really wake-up after hitting the power button. My X3i didn't have this problem at all, I could turn it on, click Start, then Notes, and start writing immediately. My X30 needs about 5-10 seconds before it will really do anything.

Does anyone else have this problem? I'm wondering if it has something to do with the wifi, even though it does this with the wireless turned off.

Nope don't have the same problem unless I have it set on power save. Are you sure that you set it to the max performance as opposed to power save?

I just tried to look, and clicking on the "Power" icon in 'Settings' does nothing... must be time for a reboot. I'm pretty sure that I have the processor set to "Auto" though.

Hmmm, I would make sure and check start>settings>system>power>processor and make sure that the max performance setting is check. Also, how much free memory do you have on your x30h? And is there any programs running in the memory section under "running programs" and if so try clearing those out and see if it makes a difference.

soft reset it, if you havent done it in a while and its not running up to speed a soft reset is just like resetting a pc. see if that helps...

I don't have any problem. Try to soft reset your axim. If it doesn't work then try hard reset. I believe having a hard reset won't be a big problem as long as you haven't installed many software to it

... I dont see the need for a hard reset in this situation, the soft reset should sort everything out, a hard reset is definetly the last thing you should try.

As the others said, make sure you are running on max performance, if you have your x30 set to powersave it runs at a speed of around 208mhz... slower than your x3i!!

Hope this helps,

AJH :)
