Is there a way to quickly switch back and forth without having to go to the settings and switch it? Can you make one of the quick launch buttons to switch?

Yes, Re-designate one of your buttons. Settings>Button> change one of the buttons to rotate screen. I use button 1. I don't have the use for the recording.

I don't have SE yet, but from what I've read, you could re-map the buttons to do that...
