Wireless sync!
Help! My X30 wont wireless sync! i have EVERYTHING done in the aximsite wireless tutorial and it just wont work, it says connecting but then it says disconnected and wont work! Please help, and thanks in advance.

Did you upgrade to SP2? Make sure to disable Firewall...

i did upgrade to sp2. I did turn off firewall. (new install of xp though)

Did you try the "Wireless Network Setup Wizard" in the control panel? That's what I used and I connected immediately.

Yep... With XP SP2 the Internet Firewall is enabled by default. Either you have to disable it or open the Activesync ports.

I had a lot of trouble with my X30H when I first got it as it sets
Settings>Connections>WLAN Utility> EDit Wireless Profiles (tap) Network Name (tap)>Network Key. For my AP I needed it set at Shared when it seemed that the default was Open.
By setting tio shared and putting in my WEP key I got a sync. Since A02 things have been much improved.

I just did set-up wireless network, it didnt work (anyways the pc i want to sync with is on wired)I setup everything in the wireless, it still wont work. It used to work but it isnt working anymore, this isn't the first time i try wireless syncing!

What router/base station are you using? When you did the wireless network wizard and it created a new WEP, did you update that WEP into your router? Have you tried connecting without WEP to see if that's the problem?

i told you, it was already working. But when i upgraded to sp2 it stopped working. i didnt change any settings

Make sure under network cards, it is set to connect to your "work" network. (i remembered this enabled me to sync using wifi) And to enable other programs to work too, under connections (i think), choose to use your work network.
