New problem with active sync

hi guys,

i am saying new problem because it used to be OK!

now when I want to browse from my laptop onto my mobile device, it says:

"critical communications services have failed to start.try resetting the mobile device and then connect again."

i do so but problem remains!

this means I cannot transfer files from my pda to my laptop which means I could lose all my files since I need to update the firmware!!! Rhhaaaaaaaa....I hate Dell!!!! :realmad:

Try doing a soft reset WHILE you are connected and see if that helps. It works for me when my Activesync forgets who I am and connects me as a Guest repeatedly.

Do you have a software firewall running? Also, try unchecking every option except for USB in the ActiveSync connection settings.
