if it is showing just a folder, then the location of the program you entered is wrong.
for example. to put word you would put the following: windows\pword.exe
for Excel it would be windows\pxl.exe
try those and you will see. the one you entered has an error simewhere, it doesn't point to the proper exe.
I did the same thing several times. It sucks, it really does. But once they are installed and showing it is great. Takes up NO extra space.

You simply select the icon area, and select a program from the drop down menu to link it to the space. That's it, very simple.
I am 99% sure that Amit doesn't dev iLauncher, and I really should verbalize this in the iLauncher forum, which I think I will do. Just wanted to relate my experience with.

You are absolutely right! it is horrible to add the things manually.
I also use Omega one's Program bar. i use this becaue w/ programs like i launcher you are still wasteing an entire line for the date. with program bar you can have the date, and still put some icons after it. You can see it in my thumbnail above. I only use one static line in Progarm bar, anymore would take up too much screen realestate.
Using one static line with Progarm bar and the icons across the bottom, with power toys, seems like the way to go.
i don't use any of the other functions of powertoys, not much value in them. But the launcher at the bottom sold it.

the money tracking program is just Quicken. It is called pocket quicken, it is by landware software. It syncs with the desktop version of quicken by intuit.

Sorry but I have to disagree with you - the level of customization within PB blows quickagenda out of the water - I used to use Quickagenda but I found it too restrictive. (For info I use PB in conjunction with PocketInformat).
Regarding your comments about iLauncher, have you tried version 2.0 ? I see from your screen shot that you have 8 launch icons on your today screen (using 1 line) this would not be enough for me (I also use Powertools on my bottom bar) but with iLauncher 2 you can have up to 22 Single lines (with only 1 showing at any time) and up to 12 icons on each (giving you 264 possible links).
As for the date - I have it in my task bar as I use Wisbar advance.
Just my $0.02
(BTW I have no connection with SBSH other than being a happy user)

I have 1 line because that's the way I like it. I actually have 1 static row and 2 scrolling rows, so I just tap the down button to the far right of the second row, and I have annother whole row of icons. It cann accomodate much more than that, but I just put the remainder of apps I want quick access to on the start menu.
I wasn't commenting on the actual today interface itself, I was referring to the method used to add files to the launcher bar. I just feel that this will scare some folks away, or result in their throwing their hands up and saying "Why do I have to go through all this to add items"

Hi wooch
I wasn't trying to have a go at anyone, and I know we've all got personal taste I was just commenting on Crash613's comments as I think that he has only used iLauncher version 1.
I understand your point about adding icons, but I (personally) didn't find it a big problem as once they are set-up they normally don't change too much. Also in version 2 you can pick your programmes from your start menu rather than having to 'hunt' for them.

Oh, no offense taken. I was merely relaying my personal tastes with Program Bar.
I myself wouldn't have too hard of a time adding the icons either, I'm just thinking about the newbies! ;)

Guys
Following on from this thread about placing programmes in the Task bar at the bottom of the screen.
I also found that PHM Powertools was freezing my PPC and so I then asked SBSH if it was possible to implement task bar launching into iLauncher.
Well guess what! they have just released iLauncher 2.0.02 and they have included the ability to put icons into the Task Bar :approve:
I have been using it for about 8 hours with no lock-ups or any other issues.
The thread about the update is HERE
And remember, the easiest way to add icons to the launch tabs is to use Settings>Add> and choose the "Windows\Start Menu\Programs" from the drop down list (this gives you a list of all the programs you have installed)- rather than hunting around for the executable file.
(I have no link with SBSH - just a happy user)

Why do you tell us these things, now I'm gonna have to check out the new version, and more than likely add it to my Handango Page . . . :approve:
Do you know if the discount is still going on for iLauncher?
