In WIN98SE.......other versions may vary.

Open WIN Explorer and expand:

C:\ (or wherever Windows is) > Windows > Profiles > (Your Profile) > Application Data > Microsoft > Activesync > Profiles

This is where ASync stores all your Partnership Information and changed Files, the actual Folders/Files are in the My Documents Folder. If you are trying to re-establish a Partnership using an "already-in-use" name, delete these Folders of that name. DO NOT delete the My Documents Folder of this name.

Resync, establish new Partnership using the name on the My Documents Folder, and ASync will use that My Documents Folder to repopulate your Axim with the information in those Folders.

The path for XP users is: c:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Microsoft\ActiveSync\Profiles\

On my XP Pro machine, the partnership keys are located here:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows CE Services\Partners

Search your registry for Partnerships, and you should find the key. 98 doesn't use individual user profiles, so the key will be located in a different location.
