Help ! Cannot save attachment in mail in outlook

I active sync my outlook, but I cannot save any attachments that comes with the e-mail.
I get the "save as" but nothing happends .
Anyone seen this, and know a fix for it ?

When I tap and hold an attachment it gives me save as and then lets me choose where to save it.

Do you have "included attachments" checked in active sync "in box" settings?

Yes I have include, and no limit on size.
I get the save as, but it does not open any dialogbox with where to save to.

Exactly what I get. Tap and hold and the Save As little menu pops up, but can't get further.

Have you guys previously loaded a 3rd party email client and then uninstalled it ?

Perhaps uninstalling the app somehow removed the capability to 'save as' (shared file). Maybe reinstalling such an application would bring it back.

Here are my thoughts:

Can you open the attachment? In other words is the attachment really there!

Try telling Pocket Outlook (PO) to save all attachments to your SD card if you have one. (go to - on your X30's PO - tools, options, storage.....).

Be very careful when playing around with synching Outlook with your PPC's PO, it can totally screw up your PST file.

ALWAYS BACK UP YOUR OUTLOOK PST FILE BEFORE playing around.

I have over 50 megs of attachments on my SD, multiple email accounts and my X30 works like a dream.

Many other PDAs can get very confused if you store your email attachments on external storage (e.g. SD) and then for some reason they can't see this storage repository for the email attchments (e.g. you remove the SD card).

The X30 seems to be quite resilient in this respect, despite stressing it.

Thx, but Im using a sd card for attachments, and I can open known ones, I thougth, no I cannot open, and the last 10 word and exel att. I have in mails are not recognised, i.e it does not show up as word/exel . And pdf's looks like pdf's but will not open , hmm and... non of my recongised imagefiles will open. strange...

I think I understand what you are saying - maybe!?

YOU CANNOT OPEN THE EMAIL ATTACHMENTS, LET ALONE SAVE THEM?

There are many possibilities, but 2 come to mind:

1. Look on your SD card (with file explorer) and see if there is a directory of file attachments - there should be.

2. Try to open a file attachment e.g. PDF, which you are certain that your X30 can open (this assumes you have PPC Adobe Reader installed on your PPC free download).

If either of the above are not 'true', reset your X30 (backing up what you can) and resync your desktop Outlook with a new partnership - read other threads very carefully on how to do this!!!!!!!!!!

My axim never have sendt mail copied from the laptop
