Wifi Tools available ?

Is there any good or better than the built in software for Wifi scanning and connection ? I have read the sticky but did not get a clue on this.

You can try WiFiFoFum and/or MiniStumbler.

Wififofum is pretty good, but be aware that MiniStumbler doesn't support the Axim X3/X3i

(I'm on my Axim using the Mobile site so I cannot see your signature or what device you have listed under your name, so excuse me if you have an X30)

That's why I listed both, he/she doesn't have their model listed. Anyhow, WiFiFo works on the X3, but not on the X30. Vice versa for MiniStumbler.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, you installed MiniStumbler on your X3i and it works? Are you sure you don't mean WiFiFiFum? I don't think anyone so far has gotten MiniStumbler to work with he X3i. If so, this would be great news.

Using MiniStumbler Version 0.4.0 Build 554 with a X3i succesfully. Some problems with the GPS orientation. Detection of WiFi is working great

I am going to have to install it again then. It wouldn't work for X3i users for the longest time, thanks for the inuput!

Just re-installed on my x3i. Same result as last time, "No wireless card found". Checked the build number, "Build 554". Did you install a different driver for your wireless card to get it to work? Just curious...let us all know.

Myself included, still not working with WiFi on the X3i series with built-in wireless. Unless the Dell cards on your X3i's are different from the rest?
