Can you format data for PPC on a desktop PC ?

so instead of loading things through your PPC onto the SD card, can i plug the card into a cardreader and loads thing that way ? im guessing it will be faster.

I ask this, because i heard data like videos need to be converted to PPC standards first. So copying the files on the card and then opening them on the axim wont work. Is this true ?

does it appyl to music as well ?

It depends, video you might want to optimize. Music can be fired straight over typically.

So it varies by file type.
