X30 and today plugin problems?

Does anybody have serious issues with the X30 and today plugins?

I've installed about 5 different freeware battery today screen plugins, and all of them seem to exhibit the same annoying behavior.

The behavior is this: Shortly after I turn the PPC on, the start button dissapears, then the battery plugin pops up, sits there for a miniute or two, and then the start button appears. After I disable the plugin, the start button appears as usual.

Anybody know what the story is?

umm .... i installed SPB pocket plus ... didnt like it so removed it ... however, it has retained a bettery meter that runs along the top, if that helps !
