How to disable Auto Activesync

This is peeving me something fierce :realmad:

Everytime I place the Axim in the cradle, it fires up Active Sync. It doesn't actually "sync" information, but it makes that stupid beep sound, and then checks to see if there were any changes to PIM.

I've been through the options screens, and I think I set every Sync option to "manual".

Why can't I just place my Axim into the Cradle without it looking to  my computer...... :waaa:

Because that's what AS does. I understand what you wish to do. The only suggestion that I can offer would be to download a freeware app named Startup insspector for Windows, and install it on your PC. Uncheck any box that looks like an active sync start up item. You can always start AS manually if you want to sync up.

You can get the app @ http://www.windowsstartup.com

There is also an activesync toggle freeware which switches wince command on or off - it used to be downloadable from this site - but I would also try one of the freeware ppc sites.
