Mobile Favorites syncing problem

I set up some web pages in mobile favorites, and set properties to make the site available offline, and to copy links one layer deep. I set it up to sync automatically at different times.

Sometimes it seems to work and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it will sync some sites and not others. On very rare occasions those sites that are synced will connect to the links, but usually it tells me that the Axim is not connected when I tap a link. And without fail the thing syncs and syncs and syncs and never quits synching until I stop it and my desktop tells me it's not responding.

What did I do wrong?

some sites will not be viewable offline through your axim. i have found that certain sites just won't work no matter what i try.

if it is telling you that you are not connected when you click on a link then most likely your computer did not store the information one link deep as it was suppose to.

as far is AS not responding, do you have any other software running at the same time that could be interfering? if there is something processor intensive it may be best to close that program down before you try to sync.

I've checked repeatedly to see that the right boxes are checked to download one layer deep, including deleting the selection and re-doing it. I don't understand why it won't do it, except that it never finishes - that's probably why. I get an error message in my Axim saying "cannot connect. Unable to connect: you have no modem entries created, and no network card present." If the Axim is connected to my desktop, it will access the link through the internet, it it's not connected, it gives me the error message.

The only other programs running are usually another webpage with an internet poker game on it and Outlook. That doesn't seem like enough to interfere with synchronization.
