Problem with Yahoo mail

I have successfully configured the axim x30 to access the internet thru wi-fi. However, when i try to access my yahoo mail using outlook, i constantly get a message that the system timed me out waiting for the server. I have Pop3 access and all the log-on and server type settings are correct because once it downloaded a couple of emails. I followed the directions on yahoo mail to the tee. I checked the wifi link, that seems to be working -- no lost packets or anything. Anybody have any suggestions or faced a similar problem. Without this feature, I may have to return this PDA -- a damn shame.
