Is anyone syncing successfully with two desktops?

I am getting my wife an Axim and she will need to sync the device at work before she comes home and then sync at home, work on her desktop at home, including emails and then resync before she goes back to the office the next day. Does anyone have any pointers on what to watch out for? If she has issues, I'll never hear the end of it.

I have been syncing between my work pc and my home pc. Activesync wouldn't let me sync emails on both machines. It would, however, let me sync everything else that I used. Activesync is very limited in its functionality and since I was copying all contacts from my home pc to my axim, it wouldn't let me restrict my syncing to just my "Business" contacts from my work pc. All of my personal contacts are sitting in my work outlook. My axim has all the information I need, but Ive got some extra information sitting on each pc.

You have options here.

I sync not with my PC's but with my SERVER, so my mail and my e-mails are all synced no matter WHAT PC I use.

Also look at:
Messaging Accounts New Accounts.

You can put more then one e-mail account on your PDA.

Good idea. Never thought abut the server sync for email. That should work great. As far as personal and business contacts go, the Outlook will just contain business contacts. I'm thinking of setting up Outlook Express for just her personal emailing to friends. Thanks for all the input.

I'm planning to, once I purchase my new computer for work.

What really sucks is that to buy a second cradle, Dell Canada charges $53.00, and that doesn't even include the A/C Adaptor.
With the X30 Mid, the Cradle was only a $22.00 upgrade

Bunch of thieves if you ask me

Try a USB/Sync cable (retractable) from someone like PDAir

I have a sync cable (got it with the Ax). I just like the ease of sliding the Ax into a cradle. Looks snazzy on a desk too (love the magic blue Dell light )

Yup, got one too, but it doesn't charge and sync. The cable from PDAir charges without the need for an AC input and costs a fraction of the price of a new cable.

That's true.

But Dell was nice enough to let me keep all the accessories from the first X30 I sent back to them, so I have an extra A/C charger

syncing my x30 at work and at home caused no problems. But syncing 2 x30s with teh same computer caused no end of problems, I ended up with duplicate address book entries, and when i tried to delete them it took my entire contact list with it.

I use NETINFOSOFTSYS to sync. You can sync with more than two pc's with this software, including mail. Check it out.

Are you spelling it right. Search google for pocket pc multi partnership and the company name above, or just pocket pc multi partnership
