x30 Wireless w/more memory or x30 Basic w/Sandisk memory-802.11 card

Good morning,

I'm looking at buying an X30, but I'm not sure whether I should get a wireless version with more memory from the Dell Outlet or should I get the X30 Basic and purchase one of those Sandisk memory/wireless combo sticks.

I'm coming from an old Handspring Visor, so my knowledge of PPC machines in general is slim-to-none.

Hi, I'm pretty new too, but as far as I know Dell runs promotion this week-end on new units (so what's the reason to go for refurb?), someting like 30% off + 3 year warranty. You can get Kingston SD memory card 256 MB as low as $10 after rebate.. So I would go for X30 High this week-end and get the memory card from someone else who offers it with rebate..

Hi, new to the board and new to Axim X30
I thought I'd throw into the conversation that the wireless X30H also has bluetooth and that's a combination you won't get on a card (to the best of my knowledge) at least get the x30mid with bluetooth and more onboard memory and then add the sandisk card.

The 1800 mah is included or is it an additional $99? My math ain't as good as it used to be, but the whole kit and kaboodle for about $245+tax(I'm in Texas).

If that's the case, then I guess it's a no-brainer...

You should definitely get the High End model. Because PPC's aren't upgradable like a desktop, you can't just open it up and upgrade the motherboard or up the processor or the RAM so whatever you've got under the hood is IT FOR LIFE, basically. You need something that will be powerful to last you the life of the device. The Low end model is barely hanging in there. In 6 months, it'll be obsolete, IMHO.

Go for the X30 HIGH. Dell is always running sales on it, so just keep your eyes peeled to this website and check Dell's storefront often.

I am also new to the Axim x30 (635MHz model) having come from a Visor...
I was wondering if any of the apps I used from the VIsor could be used on a PPC
....in particular my map software (Delorme) and the Margi Presenter device? .....

I'm not keen on this kind of talk but... It shipped yesterday(The day I ordered!!!)and the tracking # said that it was in the stage of "billing info recieved" and it also said that exp. delivery is Tuesday. I'm not sure if that means that it'll ship on tuesday or I'll recieve it. I hope I recieve it:approve:

Do you know how much it costs? It's difficult to tell on the website.
