I have been trying to figure out what are the 5 top applications... like if you only installed 5 and only planned on ever installing 5 what would they be? I had an Axim X5 Advanced that was stolen last month but I will have an x30H in about... 3.5 hours (wife missed the UPS guy so I have to go to the holding station) I'm curious to what you would load... and we are talking no extra stuff besides memory (like GPS etc)
I'm going to start with my guesses.
1.) Microsoft Pocket Streets 2004 - For some quick Maps when you get turned around.
2.) VITO Remote Control - Avoid searching the the DVD remote your daughter hid earlier in the afternoon.
3.) Pocket Weather (Free) - to determine to take your umbrella out of the car in the morning for the trip back to the car after work.
4.) SBP Pocket Plus - To monitor various functions, add shortcuts, make the Close button really close etc...
5.) Unknown... I used the 4 above alot but the other stuff was only occasional use.... I picked 5 apps to see if there was something I was missing out on
Thanks in advance... it should help me determine what I should try out.
1) Wisbar Advance 2 (still in beta but excellent, it's like the best parts of wisbar combined with pocketplus)
2) Mapopolis
3) Pocket Quicken
4) Sprite Backup
5) SplashID

(Assuming that you're not counting built-in apps ... email is No. 1; IE of course, Odyssey/WLAN utility ... etc.)
1) MS Reader (books, all the time, much more use than I expected)
2) Xten XCall (VOIP)
3) IMov (IM client on the go)
4. Resco File Explorer (sooo much better than the default)
5) SPB Pocket Plus (interface is more convenient than default)

1) Resco File Explorer - Sooooo much better than the original one.
2) SPB Pocket Plus - My close button works! Have have Battery meters! I have memory meters! I have cool today screen shortcuts! What else do I have to say?
3) Mini Stumbler - Can't beat it for wardriving :)
I could not live without Pocket Informant or WebIs Mail. TextMaker (and maybe PlanMaker) as well...they make your pocket pc act much more like a desktop computer. Then I would list resco file explorer, resco audio recorder, Flash It (helps me study for tests--and very inexpensive), ...
erm skype works wonderfully here been using-it since day one of getting mg axim. Apart from that gsplayer for streaming songs. pocket dictionary , text maker for some serious word processing.
