Remove all applications on main memory and save to SD card?

Since I finally received my SD card, I was wondering if I should remove all applications from the main memory and re-install them on my SD card? Or should I keep applications like Wisbar, etc on the main memory? ? Would it be a problem to re-install purchased applications on another location or should I simply leave them on main memory (dont wanne buy that stuff again)! Any thoughts??

Today plugins and applications which specifically say they should be installed in Main Memory are the only programs that should be in Main Memory. All other apps can be installed on memory cards. By doing so, you are freeing up program memory, which will help your device run more efficiently and prevent lockups. There should be no problems moving programs from Main Memory to SD card. The safest way to do this is to uninstall them and then reinstall onto SD card.

Why would you have to buy them again? You didn't write down your registration codes did you? DOH!

Doesn't that slow down the loading of apps though?

What about utilizing built-in storage? Which has the fastest read time, and from more experienced users, what type of data is best stored where?

you can do this
I install most of apps on ROM (built-in storage)
install on SD card is not recommended, due to data corrupt (esp after you use it to store mp3/ogg)
certain apps are not working properly, even on rom, should be installed on main memory (RAM)

I install 90% of my programs on BIS, the rest are on main memory or SD card. Started installing them on SD card instead of BIS lately because i am close to filling it up :)

Main memory definitely provides the fastest access compared to BIS and memory card, but in most cases, this is not a big issue. Performance would be hindered even more if Main Memory were so clogged with apps that very little Program Memory remains.

And yes, apps can also be installed in BIS but it too is not problem-free. Do a search for "lost built-in storage" and you will see some of the problems that people have encountered.

Since BIS survives a hard reset, many people use it to store backups. As noted, you can also install programs here, but you may still need to reinstall them after a hard reset if shortcuts and/or registry settings are lost.
