Question Any Pocket Breeze wizards outthere??!!

Help, help, help!

Is there any way of having your appointments (on the Today screen) listed to the right of the day/date rather than under it?

ie

Instead of...
Sun, Oct 3
8.00A John Smith

...this
Sun, Oct 3 8.0A John Smith

It would give so much more room and make more stuff visible without having to scroll down. I just can't find a way of doing it.

Also, is there any way of removing the time from the appointment? ie if you just want a reminder of something you have to do on a certain day without a time beside it?

Many thanks!

Yes

For the appointment go to Settings>Calendar Tab> and choose whichever of the 12 appointment styles suits you.

Not sure about the removing the time - but surely you would better using a task rather than an appointment for that type of thing?

There are fairly active forums for PocketBreeze HERE and you normally get an answer in minutes, rather than days.

Hope these help.

Rob

Which of the 12 appointment formats puts the date on the same line as the appointment? Every one I've tried keeps the date on a separate line; none of the 12 formats seems to show the date on the same line as the time and appointment name.

As far as not showing the time: you can make the appointment an "all day" event (like a holiday, for example) and, of course, no time will be displayed. But then there won't be any time stored in your PIM, either.

Many thanks for the help Rob, appreciate it.

I'm having the same trouble as tgreenstein, ie can't find an appointment format that puts the date on the same line as the appointment. Thanks for the link to the PB forum, I'll see if anyone there can help.

Thanks for the 'All Day' tip tgreenstein, that's solved that problem!

Actually I posted my initial answer in a hurry (as I was just going out - just returned) and I have re-read your initial question - my bad

If you had the date next to the appointment wouldn't this only be worthwhile if you had one appointment on a certain day? if you had more than one then it would look weird - just my thoughts

Glad the link helped. (I will see you on the PB forum :) )

Hiya Rob,

Thanks again for replying, you're a patient man!

From your reply I'm beginning to realise ( ) that I'm very probably using PB wrong....seems like I'm using appointments when I should be using tasks (ie really all I want to list on the Today screen are To-Do things, rather than appointments - is 'Tasks' the right option for this?).

My excuse is that I only got PB yesterday so I'm only learning what's what...... :rolling:

Any way, I followed your advice and posted my question on the PB site and was told it's not yet possible to put the appointment beside the date, rather than under it - but they're working on it!

Thanks again.

I know you posted your post on the PB site (I've seen it :) )

There are many ways that people use "To do" lists and one of them is to allocate time periods to them (ie make them appointments) as this then 'forces' them to do that task at that set time - so yours isn't an unreasonable request :approve:

I find keeping my "To do" list as "Tasks" better (for me) than making them "Appointments" - which I use for actual meetings/ places I have to be/ sports games etc.

Do a google search for things such as "time management", "franklin covey" (which is a time management 'system') and you will find a way of working which will suit YOU.

Just be rest assured that if your method requires something to be shown in a certain way - Amit at PB will endevour to do it.

Enjoy your weekend.

Rob
