Owner information- password protect??

Ok, just got this X30 and found it's easy to change the owner information, is it possible to lock this function out and password protect it?

Thanks!

Not sure what you mean by lock out owner info... If you are trying to password protect your Axim, go to SETTINGS -- PASSWORD (with the keychain icon) and follow the prompts (SETTINGS usually opens to PERSONAL tab. If not, select it at the bottom of the page). If you want to remove owner info from the Today page, go to SETTINGS -- TODAY, select the ITEMS tab at the bottom of the page, and remove the check mark next to Owner Info. Hope this helps!

I think he means he wants it so that if some one finds it they cannot change the owner info so that other ppl will know that the finder needs to return it.Am I correct?

I think you have a misconception of the purpose of the Owner Information. It's there so an honest person that finds your PPC knows who to return it to. If you password protect the entire unit as Aximal suggests, nobody will be able to change the information without the password but it will show when the unit restarts if you have the box checked.

Of course, this info does not survive a hard reset so it wouldn't matter if you were able to specifically password protect the info. All anyone would need to do to clear it is remove the battery for a while.

That's exactly what I was trying to say, thanks! But I overlooked what Ikehiker mentioned last, the information will not survive a hard reset and would be useless anyhow.
I found some guys organizer, with basically his entire life in it, in the restroom at Sky Harbor airport in PHX so I took it straight to the info desk and asked them to page the owner. I just hope that karma will come back positive to me if I'm ever in the same situation with my x30....
