Unresolved Outlook problems?

I'm just a newbie, so go easy on me. When I ActiveSync, I get a ton (46) of unresolved issues because it can't connect with the Outlook program. How to I fix this? I don't want anything to go to my Outlook program as it is not set up, b/c I won't use it. Thanks for your help.

If you don't want data to synchronize with outlook, open activesync and go into the options menu and clear the check boxes next to any outlook related items. (calender, contacts, tasks, etc...)
