oh my god... im taking deeeeep breath right now and my heart is ACKING because of what happend to my baby...

i was listening to my mp3's on my x30 10 minutes ago as i was laying down on my bed, and my x30 was connecting to the charger, so without me paying attention i got up like real fast and CRAAACK the charger connector got RIPPED off the x30

so i figuered that the charger cable was wrapped around me mistakenly and when i got up the thing just ripped

i took some pics for you to see what im talking about, their attached now.

the "male" piece of the x30 got ripped out, and like the pins all got cut off , but i tried to get it back in and it worked, and the axim still charges, but after 10 minutes the axim gets SO HOT where the connectors meet, and like its even hot to the touch, im talking about the buttons area...

should i be sending back to dell? what should i tell them?

Send it back and pray that they fix it. Try to make it look as if it was an accident. i.e. stuff the connector back in the bottom and tell them it wont sync. Don't try to glue/tape it in there.

You could try talking to dell and making something up... If you have a cradle you could say that when you took it out it it just broke:approve:

Also, accidental warranty would probably cover it, if you have it ofcourse

That sucks. Keep your story simple and you should have no troubles.

sometimes its tricky to plug the ax into the charger, well not so much with the x30 but the x5 was, tell dell that u were trying to plug it in and it snapped....it sounds believable to me...

bad design, dell. baaad design...

why dont they just make it charge like a cellphone? you know the Nokia connector is pretty damn reliable, never breaks, never jams, no problems.
