Do you have an sd memory card installed and, if so, have you added a "My Documents" folder to it? If so, add one and delete the ignore_my_docs file you'll find in the root directory of the card.

Hey Ike,

What's the My Documents folder in the SD card all about? How does it help and what does the ignore_my_files file do?

Thanks...

The OS automatically places the ignore_my_docs file onto any memory that does not have a My Documents folder. It essentially tells the PPC to search the entire memory for appropriate files for the application being run. It's my experience that this can cause severe lag when you have a large memory card installed. It can appear as though the device is locked up although with enough time, it usually does finish loading the program.

I have a 512 MB card and I don't see any ignore_my_docs either.

Thanks for the tip. I did have the ignore_my_docs file, but I had the My Documents folder as well... Most likely the file was created before I created the My Documents folder. So, I went ahead and deleted the file. I have a 256 MB card and a 1 GB card.

I first noticed the problem when I had a 256 card. Make sure you have 'show system files' enabled if you are looking for it on a PC.
