Does the axim automatically adjust to the new time after daylight saving time? or do i have to sync with the computer?

Well, I posted a comment about this in another forum on this site about this issue, but know I'm having second thoughts.

I just docked my Axim, and it is already reflecting the time change even though my pc is still on Savings Time.

I guess I'll find out in a few hours

Remember that the time officially changes at 2am, and I'd be willing to bet that these operating systems are so advanced that they will jump back exactly at 2am...and then know that they have already adjusted in time so that it doesn't become an endless loop.

It's 12:41am daylights savings time (just returned from a Halloween party) and I'll find out in about 1 hour and 18 minutes.

It changes at 2am. I just noticed my computer clock change from 2 to 1am... and I just checked my axim, and the popup was there to tell me that it has rolled back the time one hour... so yeah, it does it automatically

Pity poor cageyjames. When he wakes up this morning, he has to go through all his devices that automatically set themselves to PST (and then again in 6 months to PDT!), to the back country ways of Arizona.

This is NOT standard.
Standard vary from country to country.
Here we switch over from 3 to 2 AM.
But there are more weird time switches.
If you are interested, look here:

Very funny to know :-)

Prolly smart enough to know what to do depending on what your Regional Settings are set to, for most of those, though.

My change was automatic but I may have left something else on because when I woke up Sunday afternoon The message was there asking if I wanted to accept the changes but the power light was blinking up a storm and I had lost power with the device going into sleep mode immediately after I had clicked yes. Then the orange light continued to blink until I did a soft reset. That was one of the strangest episodes I've had with Pocket PC's so far. I was well away from any power source at the time but forunately Sleep mode kept it alive until I got back home early Monday morning. No data was lost.
