Question X3 and cradle connected internet access

Question about an X3 (no WIFI/Bluetooth).

If I remember well, I could access the Internet using the already installed IExplorer, when my X3 was in the cradle and the PC was connected to the Internet.

The last time I did that, was months ago, so I am not sure exactly how or what I did.

Recently I have tried to access various sites (X3 in cradle, PC is online) but every time I get an error message "The page you are looking for cannot be found".

And that's even the case when I try to access "www.dell.com" or one of the other links you are presented when you open IExplorer, or any well known big sites that are available (when I check if the site is available using my regular PC browser).

Is there any specific setting on the PPC or in ActiveSync to be able to get internet access via your PC?

Thanks!

PS: on my PC I have a regular USB Modem DSL connection; no routers, wireless things or any other high tech things.

do the following...

1. In Network Connections open the properties for your connection.
2. Under the Advanced tab choose to allow other to use the connection.
3. Put the axim in the cradle and let it sync. Once it does you are good to go.
