Wireless internet explorer error

I'm having no problem connecting to wireless networks, but frequently when I hook up to a wireless network, even when there is every indication that I am connected, I get an error message when I try to pull up internet explorer:

"The page you are looking for cannot be found"

There does not seem to be any encryption on the network, so what gives? Any ideas?

It may be that you are receiving a weak, intermittent signal. You may want to go in your wifi utility when this happens and check your signal strength.
The same thing is happening with my X50, which will likely be going back to Dell over this issue--I can have it next to my router (or any other router) and still have such a poor signal that I get the "page cannot be found error." It appears that at least some Axims simply have wifi radios that are close to useless.

With the X30, this frequently is due to the PowerSave being enabled in the WLAN which xan cause a dropped connection. If you do not have the A05 ROM, you will probably need SilentKnight's utility for keeping it off.

I don't think we know enough about the X50 yet to understand if it is the same issue.

thanks

My signal strength is great. I'll try the power saving option, but my gut tells me this won't change things since I've never seemed to "time out"

I disabled PowerSave on my X50 (it's one of the selections in the X50's WLAN manager) as soon as I received it, so don't think that's the reason for poor performance on the X50.
