WMV Player

Is there any player other than wmp that can play WMV files? For some reasons which l can't figure out, my wmp10 does not want to play my wmv files ...

Have you updated the library in WMP10 for Pocket PC? or you could use file explorer on your device to navigate to the folder the movie is in and click on it there.

If neither of these options work for you how about providing more information on what you see when you try to play the files.

Sounds like a codec issue. I know it sounds silly but maybe wmp 10 isn't playing the most recent codec's microsoft is using on the desktop version of wmp

First of all whenever i try to turn on the wmp, it starts to search for skins and it takes eternity to do that... when i try to play a WMV file, it will say "cannot play file. the file is either corrupted or the player does not support the format you are trying to play"...

What happened was an old backup file from a previous ROM revision was restored to your device. That causes the skin issue. There's a thread here somewhere that reports this being fixed without a hard reset but my advice is to hard reset your device and reload all of your apps. That will definitely work.
