Cannot sync w/ contacts

i uploaded a pic w/ this post...i have made a category and added contacts to that category...and i also made a category of the same name on my pda....but i am not getting the contacts on my pda...the categories i made are not showing up on the list (as shown in the pic)...how do i get the selected categories to show up on that list so i can sync my contacts...

I think you have to sync all the contacts first then the categories will show up.
