can't sync contacts

ok, First, let me apologize, i am sure u guys have seen this a bazillion times, so I beg ur indulgence. but when I connect my x30 to my lap top it keeps telling me some of the items can't sync, ie contacts, calender and one other thing, which right now i can't remember, I tried to find similar probs but man there are a lot of posts in this forum and sorry my patience knows its limits, i also didn't see it in FAQ so, if u could help i would appreciate it
