Help my poor pea brain
OK,
I admit it, I am having a hard time with the whole email account thing.
Someone please starighten me out here. This is what I percieve, but is it true?:
Accounts:
Outlook email: mimics whatever I have done on the desktop. Changes made in the PPC are copied on the desktop. Changes made on the desktop are copied to the PPC.
POP3: Is unaffected by anything done in Outlook, whether in the PPC or on the desktop. Leaves a copy of incoming mail on the server to be downloaded into Outlook on the desktop. Sent items are not copied to the desktop as the PPC POP3 doesnt communicate with the desktop Outlook.
Even if this is right I can't get a grasp on why they are seperate. Why isnt the POP3 integrated directly into my Outlook account just as it is on the desktop?
