Using remote control to control Axim?

I know there is software to turn the Axim into a remote control... but is there software so that I can use a universal remote control and control the Axim?

Goal:
Connect Axim to stereo system across the room
to listen to streaming audio.

Control what I'm listening to without getting up -- or accidentally dropping the Axim while halfway asleep! :-)

(I guess the alternative would be to use a wireless audio transmitter... and keep the Axim nearby... but that doesn't help dropping it.... :-) )

never heard of such software.....but that would have to be one heckofa remote, as to control streaming audio would mean navigating internet sites etc etc....without seeing the screen...
but the big question is....WHAT IF YOU DROP THE REMOTE CONTROL???
until the day when we can control things like this with complete voice commands, we'll just have to bite the bullet and keep our PDAs next to us!
good luck in your search though.... :)

Who said anything about streaming audio?

It's a good question.. I have an IRMan (IR receiver device) for my desktop so I can control my mp3s on it with a remote control. There must be some s/w out there to do the same thing with an Axim.

Oh wait, sorry, he did say streaming audio... what are you using to stream the audio? A website? WMP? If it's WMP or something like that, it would still be the same concept I discussed above and, although I don't know of a program that would do it, I'm sure there is one.

Yah - Mostly streaming web audio from WMP... I also have
at least one station streaming from RealPlayer....

I would gather that there is more of a market to have a remote control for a large, full-size computer... vs a PocketPC, which is already remote control sized!

Thanks
