DVD Download

Hey everyone,
I just got my Pocket PC and I am just trying to figure everything out. Can anyone please tell me if I can download DVDs on to my Pocket PC. If I can, from where, and is there anything I need. Also, where can I download music on to my Pocket PC. Thank you in advance to whoever answers!!!

I could, but here is one already put togethor that will help you out. :)

Some advise, if you are going to use PocketDivxEncoder to encode the resulting file you should do the following...

Once the rip is done go into the folder you had the files save to and delete everything but the VERY large vob file. That file is the actual movie. Change the extension to mpg and then you can start to encode.

How do you change the extension. And what if there are like 4 or 5 different Very large vob files, do you keep all of them. Also if you change the extention to a mpg does it make it so you can make it into an avi file for playing on Betaplayer.

This is emphatically NOT a good idea. PocketDivXEncoder (an excellent program BTW) needs the .IFO file to determine the size of the encoded .AVI file. Without it, you cannot adjust the encoded file size to fit your CF or SD card.

There is equally no point in changing the extension of the .VOB file. It achieves nothing.

In any case there is no point in deleting these files. Once the encoding has been successfully completed and you have checked that the .AVI file plays correctly, you can then delete ALL the files produced by the Ripper.

When you choose Target, just point it to rip to your C:/ drive on your PC.
If I'm understanding you right.

Try fairuse. It's making quite a buzz of late. Very easy to use. Here's a users guide for fairuse that's easy to follow.

Check you my turtorial HERE it includes all you need for ripping to the HD and then shrinking it to fit on the screen using 2 free programs.

Make sure to vote for how helpful the turtorial was on the page.

NOTE: make sure to UN-CHECK the 2-nd pass option. alot of people are having trouble with the amount of time it is taking when that option is checked.
