Battery lost all juice, everything lost, now can't synch it back :(

So I guess I left my axim on in my pocket to the point that it lost all power and lost all my installed software and everything on the internal storage or whatever.

I figured, no problem, I'll just synch it back up and be good to go!

I come to find that, as everything was lost on the pda the PC doest recognize it as minifj anymore and keeps wanting to sync it as a new device.

How can I make my PC remember this is the device it's got all the goodies installed on and have it sych them all back onto it?

i think renaming your device back to the old name might get some of the stuff back, but as for everything, your going to have to go to the add/remove programs section of activesync on your computer and reinstall everything

If you want to keep the old name I believe you will have to delete the old partnership.

To do this, open activsync without the axim in the cradle. Go to file, and then delete partnership.

i thought it was possible to use the same names, although i may be mistaking. you won't gain much different than doing this, versus just creating a new partnership (just all your old settings like what you want to sync, and in the case of e-mail, which folders to sync will be kept)

wait are you using a usb hub to connect the axim to the comp.?
