PC reading SD card

I was wondering how come my x30 can read my kodak 1GB SD card no problems but my computers built in card reader can't? It tells me it can't open it and it needs to be formated. Ask if if I wish to format I say yes then it can't do it. It also list the data as raw. I've reformated the card after this on pocket mechanic and had no luck still. I only ask because I'm trying to move movies over, one's worked but the other isn't moving, I think its an active sync issue, so it be nice to be able to use the card reader I have.

I had a similar problem on my Lexar 1GB SD card when I first received it. It would let me view the card but would not let me write to it. I ran scandisk (check both boxes) and reformatted it to Fat32 and it solved it for me. Right click it on My Computer > Properties > Tools > Check Now. Maybe try that? Hope that helps.

Some people also had issue with OLDER Sandisk card readers. Make sure that isn't your issue...it goes to reason that new, larger cards might not be supported by older devices.
