playing mp3 movies on x30
I just bought a 1 gig sd card for my x30.
How can I shrink the size of a dvd movie so I can transfer it to the sd card? I have a dvd burner and dvd xcopy. What if I already have a movie saved on my pc, can I shrink the size as well?

FYI...MP3's aren't movies. That's audio only. MPEG2 Layer 3 specifically.

You mean "Search/shrink" in the dvdx software? How small a file size can I compress the video, say if it already 800,000 kb. Is 1 gig less that 800,000 kb?

no, i meant click "Search" on the top of this very page, and type "dvd shrink" as search terms...
there's a huuuuge thread (actually quite a few) with tutorials and "what size is it" and "what works" already

There is a great FREE program called Fairuse. You can find it here. Will allow you to rip a DVD to a size that will fit on a SD or CF card. The free version is the Light Edition.
