will a hardreset restore factory settings ?

I may have deleted something which I didn't want to, but I cannot be sure. The thing is- I deleted some icons from the icons folder so that there are not so many displayed in the drop-dwon start menu. Now I don't find them in the programs folder either.
Can you delete something like an icon at all and if so will it be restored after a hard reset ?

A hard reset will restore the device to the way it was the day you got it. If you removed icons for things that are part of Windows Mobile, then they will be restored after a hard reset.
